2017 was a big year for Work Train Fight.

In fact, each month there was a milestone or an event that made us proud.

In January we launched our PT Now program, making personalized training available to everyone.

In February we formed our Fundraising Committee, made of WTF members who want to make a difference. (Interested? Contact info@youthboxingforchange.org)

Alberto Kicking A** in our Self-Defense Workshop

In March we hosted our first Member Appreciation Mingle, complete with drinking games and, well, drinking. Because we love you.

In April we put on a very successful Self-Defense Workshop, to raise money for the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault.

Our New Bootcamp Studio

In May we launched Season 2 of WTFunnies, because everyone needs a good laugh. Stay tuned for Season 3 coming soon.

In June we got a brand new Boot Camp Studio, where we can have bigger, badder, sexier classes. You’re welcome.

In July we broke ground and started construction in the main gym area. New WTF, here we come!

In August Youth Boxing for Change became an official 501c3 non-profit organization.

In September we closed for Labor Day weekend to complete the major demolition, opening up the gym. The finish line is in sight!

YB4C Teens at our Launch Party

In October we had our YB4C Launch Party, which was a major success, with almost 100 attendees and raising nearly $3,000 for our awesome teens.

In November, well, three words: Fight Night Three. Enough said. If you weren’t there, you f*cked up.

In December, after months and months of hard work and high stakes, we could all breath a sigh of relief: no deadlines!

With a year like that, it’s hard to imagine topping it in 2018.

But that’s how we roll, always pushing, never stopping. So raise a glass to an amazing year, and everything that you accomplished. And when that ball drops Sunday night, there should only be one thing on your mind: how can I make this year, the best yet?
